On Saturday, June 6, the Family Fitness family will be celebrating the long awaited High School graduation of our very own Mary Mitchell. Over the years, many of us have had the opportunity to watch her grow into a lovely young lady and eventually into a part of our Family Fitness Night Crew.
As most of you know, the staff around here is pretty close. None of us could imagine missing this momentous day in Mary’s life, and we are all thrilled to see her walk across the stage. For this reason, we have put family first and will CLOSE our doors on Saturday, June 6, 2015. We are so grateful for your understanding, and we do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause any of you. We feel confident that you will all find a way to enjoy your day off as much as we will.
We look forward to sharing pictures with you when we resume our normal schedule on Monday, June 8, 2015! Happy Graduation Day, Mary!!! We love you!

I have never considered myself to be much of a runner. In elementary school, my most dreaded day was when we had to run the mile in PE for the physical fitness test. It took me a good 15 minutes to finish one mile, holding my side cramp and complaining the whole time. With this sort of history, the last thing I expected to get into was running.
Flash forward 15 years later and somehow I’m thinking it’s FUN to run 3 miles a day! This new-found addiction gave me such a rush that it made me want to do crazy things, things I thought could be even more FUN….but what could be more fun than running 3 miles a day, you ask? To you I will say 4 words: Disney World Half Marathon. (more…)
