CLASS DESCRIPTIONS & WHAT TO EXPECT:

 

BODYSCULPTING

Time: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM

Location: Class Studio

Instructor: Conne Schaefer (M/F) & Kelly Vizzone (W)

What to expect: Incorporates free weights, high reps and short rest periods to work your ENTIRE body and maximize calorie burning during and long after class (up to 48 hour boost in metabolism!)! No matter what your fitness level, accommodations can be made for every exercise. Be prepared to push yourself!

AQUA ZUMBA  & ZUMBA® 

Times: Regular: Monday 9:40 AM to 10:40 AM & Tuesday 5:00 PM to 5:55 PM

Aqua Zumba: Tuesday 6:00 PM to 6:55 PM & Thursday 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Location: Class Studio/Swimming Pool

Instructor: Adaia Engrav

What to expect: When participants see a Zumba® class in action, they can’t wait to give it a try! Zumba® classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin (like salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggaeton) and international beats. Before you know it, you’re getting fit and your energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba® Fitness-Party. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating.

YOGA

Times: Monday & Wednesday: Noon to 1:10 PM and 4:45 PM to 5:55 PM

Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM and 7:00 to 8:15 PM

Location: Yoga Sanctuary

Instructors: Monica Bonugli (M/W/TR PM) Lona Pagan (T) & Kelly Vizzone (TR am)

What to expect: Basic standing poses, Sun Salutations, and seated poses encompass these yoga classes. Yoga focuses on alignment and breathing to create strength, balance, and flexibility thru each pose. Instructors provide modifications for simplifying poses as well as advancing them, so these classes are accommodating to all levels.

CARDIO KICKBOXING WITH BAGS

Time: Monday & Wednesday 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

 Thursday 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Location: Class Studio

Instructor: Michelle Benavidez

What to expect: This class is a combination of punches, kicks, and boxing on bags that will undoubtedly improve your endurance and cardiovascular fitness, tone, muscles and shred your abs if you practice consistently with power and precision. The routines are characterized by high intensity intervals coupled with toning recovery periods of resistance training that burn up to 800-1000 calories. Classes are suitable for all levels ranging from teenagers to senior citizens.  Feel free to come out and either see or try the class, you won’t be disappointed. The one hour classes are fun, set to upbeat music and your energetic instructor keeps you from being bored by challenging your mind and body.

 MAT PILATES

Time: Thursday 9:30 am t0 10:30 am

Location: Class Studio

Instructor: Kyoko Dillman

What to expect: Strengthen your powerhouse through flexibility, movement, diversity, and progression of exercises utilizing deep abdominal, pelvic, glutes and lower back muscles. 

RECOMMENDED PILATES GEAR

GENTLE/PRENATAL YOGA

Times:  Friday 1 PM to 2:15 PM

Location: Yoga Sanctuary

Instructor: Elaine Rakosky

What to expect: The use of yoga tools (blankets, straps, blocks and chairs) eliminates unnecessary straining and brings the body into natural balance.  We emphasize breath awareness as we move gently from one pose to the next and then hold poses in order to obtain maximum benefits and avoid injury.  You’re invited to explore your individual range of ability, and encouraged to get to know your own body. This class is uniquely designed for any trimester of pregnancy (as well as those in the planning stages), as it supports the rapid body changes of pregnancy which makes for easier labor, delivery, and recovery. 

RECOMMENDED YOGA GEAR

• Yoga mat (We have mats for borrow if needed)

• Workout pants with a fitted top (clothing that moves/stretches with you)

• WATER
